Afternoon Tea Week (14th - 20th August) is a celebration of one of the nation’s favourite traditions - afternoon tea has graced British afternoons since the 1840’s! The Duchess of Bedford (a lifelong friend of Queen Victoria) was the originator of afternoon tea after complaining of "having that sinking feeling" later in the afternoon.
Up and down the country, hotels, tea rooms and restaurants will host special events to honour the tradition, and the Woolmill is too!
Join us in the Woolmill garden on Friday the 17th of August from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm for an outdoor afternoon tea party!
