Nestled in the Highlands of Scotland, Knockando Woolmill has ensured the craft of carding, spinning and weaving with local wool has been passed down through generations since 1784.

Skilled craftsmen work with both modern looms and rare antique equipment, dating from as far back as 1870, to create luxury textiles for designers, estates and individuals who seek the unique qualities and exclusivity that only authentic traditional techniques can produce.

Trainee Weaving Technicians 

 

The position of Trainee Weaving Technician is open to those with or without experience using historic Dobcross looms. Training will be provided where necessary.

We are looking for enthusiastic, outgoing and committed individuals to join the Mill's Visitor Centre team for the 2024 summer season.

Volunteer Tour Guides 

We are on the look out for individuals to join our team of volunteer tour guides.

Open to anyone over the age of 18, experience in delivering tours is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.  

As a tour guide you will be responsible for leading a 45 minute - 1 hour tour of our Grade A listed site to a group of approx. 10 visitors.

We are able to reimburse volunteers for any expenses.
