Quality, integrity and sustainability are foremost in our thoughts as we design and create our unique ranges of specialist woollen tweed and tartan. Manufactured in Scotland using skills and traditions passed down through the generations. Our range includes our exclusive Knockando Woolmill Tartan, inspired by the colours and atmosphere of our historic site, and our unique collection of Strathspey Tweed, 20 tweed patterns ranging from herringbones, gun clubs to complex checks.
Knockando Woolmill is a Category A listed group of buildings in the Spey Valley. The Woolmill itself contains original textile machinery acquired over the centuries.
Following an extensive restoration period where all the Category A listed Victorian machinery was painstakingly dismantled, restored and rebuilt, the Woolmill is now fully operational.
Absolutely loved our visit at the weekend. Such a pretty location, stunning restoration of all the buildings and machinery and the video all about the process was fascinating. This is a top quality place to visit and I will definitely be back.
This wee old mill is definitely worth a visit. It is marvellous to see the materials being woven on very old looms. The shop and the cafe are wonderful.
We visited many years ago, before it was renovated and cannot believe the improvement. It is lovely it is still a working mill, it would have been a tragedy if it had disappeared into the mists of time. Long may it continue to prosper.
Visited the mill today, found staff very friendly, engaging and happy to show you the machines and how they worked, even stopping what they were doing to do so. The cafe is also fabulous.
