At Knockando Woolmill, history doesn’t just live in the past – it works, weaves, and moves forward every day.

Our historic waterwheel has already been carefully restored, and now, with your support, we hope to take the next step: generating sustainable energy on-site once again. In decades past, the Mill powered its own operations through water. We’re now fundraising to reinstate this tradition by installing a modern generator, harnessing the flow of water to power the Mill and support activity across the site.

This is about more than electricity - it’s about preserving living heritage and ensuring that our story continues for generations to come. Every donation, large or small, helps us protect this remarkable place and support a more sustainable future. We’re hugely grateful for the continued support we receive through grants and private donation. 

The project to generate electricity will cost about £80,000.00 and we have raised about £50,000.00 so far.
