Open Day with Daniel Harris
Knockando Woolmill invites you to their open day on Thursday 25th July to see the completed restoration of their Dobcross loom!
Weaver Daniel Harris, owner of the London Cloth Company will be on site giving talks throughout the day at 12pm, 3pm and 6pm.
Eager to share his knowledge on looms and weaving, he will explain what he has achieved in the last month along with his colleague Bethany Couldrick, through dismantling and rebuilding this fantastic piece of engineering.
A video will also be available to view that has documented the restoration process.
This is a unique experience to see first hand the loom in working order and to ask any questions you may have.
The Dobcross loom is significant due to its age, the way it operates as well as being a crucial part of the heritage of the mill.
