Step into 240 years of History at Knockando Woolmill

Step into 240 years of History at Knockando Woolmill

Discover the fascinating story of Scotland’s oldest working Woolmill with a guided tour. First recorded in 1784 as the Wauk Mill, the Woolmill remains a living piece of Speyside’s heritage, where history, craft, and community are beautifully woven together.

On your visit, you’ll uncover the secrets of our rare Victorian machinery, including the remarkable 1899 Dobcross loom, and see how traditional techniques sit side by side with modern production today. Afterwards, relax in our charming café with a bowl of homemade soup, freshly baked scones, or barista coffee — and take home a piece of history from our gift shop.

Just 4 weeks left of our 2025 summer season!

Guided tours run every Tuesday at 10:30am, 12:30pm, and 2:30pm. Spaces are limited, so book ahead to avoid disappointment.

If you’re unable to join a tour, you can still explore at your own pace with our complimentary self-guided notes, available from the visitor centre.

Secure your place today and be part of a story still being woven.
