NATURAL PLANT DYEING WITH LADY'S BEDSTRAW
With the success of last week's live Natural Dyeing Demonstration using nettles, we are delighted to be hosting another at Knockando Woolmill this time using Lady's Bedstraw.
Date: Thursday, 6th August, 10am - 4pm.
Free drop-in session.
The day will include:
- Preparing wool for dyeing + measuring dye substances
- Scouring the wool with detergent
- Creating dye baths from the bedstraw
- Using different parts of the plant to achieve different colours
- Setting the colour by mordanting the wool
